Ledenika Cave is one of the best reasons to set aside a full day for the Vratsa Balkan. The road from Vratsa climbs through the Vratsata Gorge, so the journey itself offers some of the finest scenery in the area.
The cave takes its name from the ice formations that appear near the entrance during the colder months. Farther inside, the visitor route passes through a series of chambers shaped by water and time.
